The DMV Collective Giving Network is making philanthropy more accessible to all.
We represent over 20 giving circles in the DC region whose members have pooled their resources to donate millions of dollars to local nonprofits.
Our mission is to make the greatest possible impact in our communities through a network of effective, diverse, and informed philanthropists.
Our purpose is to unite and build the field of collective giving and provide opportunities for giving circles to network, learn, share best practices and collaborate so we can continue to support and promote positive change in our communities.

Please join the DMV Collective Giving Network for our inaugural Giving Circle Challenge! The Giving Circle Challenge is an in-person and virtual event during November that gives residents of the DC metropolitan area the opportunity to learn about and participate in collective giving. This year’s event has two parts: (1) a “pop-up” virtual contest which will be held November 15-17 and permits participants to vote on-line for one of three featured. (2) in-person events at local farmer’s markets to raise awareness about local giving circles and vote by visiting our booth.
THE THREE-FEATURED ORGANIZATIONS ARE:
- Black Swan Academy
- The Chris Atwood Foundation
Participating farmer’s markets include:
- Silver Spring market – November 9, 9am – 1 pm
- Mosiac market – November 10, 9:30 am – 2:30 pm
- Dupont Circle market – November 17 8:30am – 1:30 pm
If you are interested in contributing to the event, you can click the Donate button at the top of the page (or here!). From there, your tax-deductible donation will be added to the pot to support one of these three charities.
